Back
in 1988 Metro Products asked me to design a better product than the agricultural dual hooked devices predominant at the time. The flash of
inventiveness was to thread the immobilizer bar over the hub and under the
rim opposite. The product seen opposite went on to become a famous leading
seller still on the market 15 years later.

In 1994 Autolok Security Products asked me to improve their highly successful handbrake and gear immobilizer to fit more vehicles more securely. The inventive step of the Autolok Protector was to use the natural action of installation to automatically clamp the device securely onto the hand brake. |

In
1995 the motor insurance industry and the police force both produced tough
new standards for car security products. The problem was the weakness of
the wheel itself and it seemed that the only way to meet the standard
would be to cover the entire wheel in steel. My inventive step was to recognize
that no steering wheels have spokes in the upper half so that the gauges
aren't obscured. The Autolok 2000 covered just enough of the wheel to meet
the standards and is adopted by Halfords (the UK's leading retailer) as their
flagship product.

The
Autolok Fortis launched in 2004 is a mid priced high security product that
retains compactness and ease of storage. The key to success was the simple
construction from a bent tube that also housed the unique roto-linear
lock. Every component is heat treated to prevent attack from different
tools. The unit attaches to a spoke of the wheel for security/ Click here to have your own product designed
